The In Silico Oncology and In Silico Medicine Group

The mission of the group is:

  • To develop multiscale, four dimensional, patient specific computer simulation models of the biological behaviour (dynamics) of malignant tumours and treatment affected normal tissues as well as their response to treatment modalities.
  • To better understand the hypercomplex “natural phenomenon” of cancer.
  • To investigate new cancer fighting stategies.
  • To clinically validate multiscale tumour models in collaboration with clinical centres.
  • To simulate clinical trials.
  • To design, develop and clinically validate oncosimulators.
  • To optimize the planning of various therapeutic schemes in the patient individualized context by using oncosimulators.
